Many people have recently asked me if I'm nervous about taking this trip. The only anxiety dreams I've been having have been about arriving without my teaching materials! So I'm spending a little extra time this weekend pulling everything together. Stay tuned for more (and more interesting) posts!

Hi, Alan! I promise to outline the project as my next post. It's now midnight before the day of departure, and I've just now packed all but my clothing, which is a very small part of what I'm bringing. So, as soon as I've checked in and have gotten rid of these mammoth suitcases filled with supplies and other goodies to leave with the Rwandans, I'll post a description of what the heck I'm going there for!

Thanks for setting up a blog and keeping us updated... Would you mind devoting a post to an explanation of what you are doing and when and how and why? Some of us (like me) don't know the details.
